Dave B + Sango Drop Smooth New Project 'Tomorrow'
Dave B and Sango, both from Seattle, have released the collaborative project Tomorrow. We were hit with the sneak peak stream via NPR last week but the project is now available for purchase on iTunes and streaming via Spotify. The project from the two Pacific Northwest natives starts out smooth with some atmospheric sounds. The track is aptly called "Zonin." Seagulls cry out, setting the vibes for a distinctly west coast album. Seattle to be exact. The second track sees Dave B flipping the chorus of A Tribe Called Quest's "Find A Way." Dave B croons the classic lyrics, "Now you caught me heart for the evening / Kissed my cheek, moved in, you confuse things / Should I just sit out or come harder? / Help me find my way."
Dave B holds it down in the booth while Sango does his usual thang with the beats, making for a dope cooled out project, perfect to play as you melt from the heat dome covering the states.
You can purchase the project on iTunes or stream it on Spotify. Catch Sango in Brooklyn at Afropunk next month and be on the lookout for fall tour dates.
