6th Annual Roots Picnic Poster (2013)
In case you missed ?uestlove's broad-ass hints on twitter yesterday the dates and details for the 6th Annual Roots Picnic have been announced this morning in plain English. Let's get right to the good stuff, AKA the line-up: The Roots! (duh) Naughty By Nature (!--performing with The Roots!), Solange Knowles, Gary Clark, Jr., Grimes, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, DJ Premier, AraabMUZIK, Joey Bada$$, Gaslamp Killer, Trinidad James (I will give you a second to pick your jaw up before continuing) Hit-Boy, How To Dress Well, Robert Glasper, Sonnymoon, Jennah Bell & Lushlife.

As on previous years, the big day is the first Saturday in June AKA Saturday June, 1st, 2013 and as on previous years all of this madness will be squeezed onto Festival Pier at Penn's Landing, Philadelphia although unlike last year all of this madness will be squeezed into a single summer day. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, January 25th at Noon (EST) and are available online at ticketmaster.com or get them service charge free at the TLA Box Office (334 South St, hours: Mon to Sat 12p -6p).
