Who says rap isn't a romantic genre? On their new one-off single, AK of The Underachievers mingles with Spanish production duo Cookin' Soul on their new one-off single "In Your Atmosphere," a track that sees AK professing his ever-potent devotion to a certain special someone. It's all about flying across the country, filling up passports and being there when it really counts on this number; "In Your Atmosphere" is so clearly about the need to fly high just to get down with the one you love that you definitely don't need us to help you figure it out.
Of course, it's all grounded by the dynamic work of Cookin Soul. Deploying crisp handclaps and trap-rattling hi-hats over a characteristically smooth keys progression, the señors have done it again. If only there was a quick bongo fill to make it a true textbook CS track. Oh wait, there is? Well then we're certainly all set.
"In Your Atmosphere" is reportedly just a loosie offering from AK, whose solo record Evermore - The Art Of Duality will be dropping on September 25th.
