BJ The Chicago Kid, Joey Bada$$ & Hannibal Buress Have "Nothin' But Love" On This New Gem
With BJ The Chicago Kid's full-length debut In My Mind well on its way, it seems safe to say that interests by and large are piqued. Nevermind the fact that he's wrangled the likes of Chance The Rapper and Kendrick Lamar for the major label intro, or that he's currently on tour supporting the incomparable Jill Scott. This is the dude that got a Grammy-nod for his hook on Schoolboy Q or for the real diggers out there, the closing squall of Kanye's 2006 sleeper "Impossible." But fast forward all the way to 2015 and The Chicago Kid is forging his own path, and more importantly his own soulful sound.
Today, BJ's unveiled the single "Nothin' But Love" featuring Brooklyn's ownJoey Bada$$ and perhaps the most unsuspecting rap-game feature there is in comedic star Hannibal Buress; a track that oozes with the golden era stuff, anchored by Badmon's effortlessly cool delivery, a superbly smooth production and, of course, The Chicago Kid's muscular vocals. Oh, and let's not forget, Hannibal's lament capping off the affair. In My Mind is due this fall, but you can whet your palette with this lovely gem below and be sure to hold tight for the next episode.
