REVIVE Audio: Brandee Younger - "Soul Vibrations" (prod. Casey Benjamin)
Harpist Brandee Younger debuts "Soul Vibrations" - the first single from her forthcoming Wax & Wane EP, out February 19th. Following a stellar showing on Supreme Sonacy Vol. 1, Younger teams with producer Casey Benjamin to present a glowing, "Sun-Rainflected" groove that reimagines the composition penned by the late arranger/composer and bassist Richard Evans. Joined on this outing by saxophonist Chelsea Baratz and flutist Anne Drummond, Younger serves up a magical ode to a few musical titans - Dorothy Ashby included - that translates her vision for the harp and bodes well for what she's got coming on her 7-track sophomore release.
“I want listeners to walk away with a different perspective on the harp’s place in music. For people to know that the instrument can play a fully functioning role in many settings,”
