Charles Bradley Drops Limited Edition Pink 45 Single For "Luv Jones"
Charles Bradley's getting the summer started in a fluorescent blaze of glory with the release of his latest single "Luv Jones" b/w "Change, Change, Change." While we're all pretty grounded in Bradley's soulful howl, his latest offering is graced with a pair of duets with a new "Screaming Eagle Of Soul" in LaRose Jackson, who was introduced to Bradley's guitarist/producer/Daptone Records sage Tommy “TNT” Brenneck at a Memorial Day BBQ. That evening the three of them hit the studio and essentially went straight to press with these two sublimely funky cuts, commemorating that serendipitous moment with a hot pink 7-inch single.
You probably missed the boat on copping the neon vinyl, but the good folks over at Wax Poetics are giving two lucky funkateers a chance to win the limited edition pressing. You can head over to WaxPo for the contest details, but make sure you peep the soulful-strut of Charles Bradley and LaRose Jackson's "Luv Jones" below. You can cop original matted black pressing of the single via Daptone Records today.
