OKP Premiere: Catch The "Spark" From Decap's Booming New Cut

Bay Area beat maestro Decap already gave us all of the "Feelings" with the atmospheric lead-off single from his forthcoming The Chills project a few months back. Today he's back with a new installment of a project that's already dishing out the anxiety, relinquishing the single "Spark," which has something for hip-hop-fans spry and seasoned. The new joint stays true to the atmospheric goods delivered in the first installment; fairly minimal instrumentation, anchored by warbled synthesizers and massive drum sounds that slap with the best of them and recall the jagged West Coast production styles of years past. But this certainly won't be the last we hear from the San Fran native, as a new cut is surely already on the way and the live shows in support of The Chills will soon be underway as we close out a magical year in music. With one eye looking back at all the canon's afforded us and the other scheming on where still to go, Decap's as promising and formidable of a new presence in the ever-broadening left-field as you get.
