Authorities are in search of a group of men allegedly involved in the murder of 15-year-old Bronx teen, Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz.
Graphic surveillance footage obtained by Daily News shows at least five men ambushing the boy outside Cruz and Chiky Grocery on the corner of E. 183rd St. and Bathgate Ave. Wednesday night. The men reportedly stabbed him in both sides of his neck with a machete.
Authorities say the attack was sparked by an argument inside the store. The video shows the assailants fleeing the scene in a black sedan.
Cell phone video shows the teen running to St. Barnabas Hospital nearby as his wounds bleed out. Witnesses can be heard screaming, “Run to the hospital!” “He ran to the hospital and then collapsed in front of the emergency room. The last words (he said) to his friends that saw him, he was asking for water because he was choking on his own blood,” a witness told Daily News.
The hashtag #JusticeForJunior surfaced online following news of the incident and caught the attention of public figures like Cardi B and Kehlani.
The boy's family members told Daily News he was not a gang member, but he may have been friends with someone who was, and they do not believe the attack was a case of mistaken identity.
Junior attended Dr. Richard Izquierdo Health & Science Charter School.
