Watch The Touching Visuals For KAMAU's "MĭNT" Ft. Talibah Safiya
New York-based singer and rapper KAMAU has dropped the touching visuals for the track "MĭNT" featuring Talibah Safiya. The video was directed and produced by Invisible Firm. The track was produced by Dave Monks. Those familiar with New York will notice that the visuals were shot in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Dumbo. KAMAU, who was born in D.C., has had his music featured in Issa Rae's HBO show Insecure. Last year KAMAU dropped the six-track project A Gorgeous Fortune EP.
In a press statement the visuals are described as following, "two characters, played by KAMAU & Talibah Safiya, in love and search of a place to sleep. In the short musical piece, we see the two perform the song MiNT whilst in the gratitude of each others presence. It is a blessing to be and to be here and present. It is a blessing to breath, but for many, not an exclusively pretty one. For many, this reality on breath, is both magnificently soft and immensely harsh.
