The power of Lianne La Havas's Blood LP appears to have an infinite mileage. On a brand new remix by French producer Dairus, La Havas's gorgeously hopeful ballad "Green & Gold" transforms into a deeply beautiful dancefloor anthem, replete with handclaps, rattling hi-hats, sub-basement bass and squealing keys. If you were to fall into a full-on Lianne La Havas trance (we've all been there) and found the local club, this is what it'd sound like.
Creative and a bit surprising in its danceability, what matters most about the new rendition of "Green & Gold" is the unmistakable power of La Havas herself. Her show-stopping vocal performance and emotive, confessional lyrical style is what makes it so easy to connect with the new track. We're not saying it eclipses the original, but we're sure as hell not mad at it, neither. Listen to Darius's flip below and check out La Havas's remaining U.S. tour schedule after the jump.
