Raekwon Wishes Michael Jackson An Early Birthday w/ A Flip Of "Got To Be There" & "The Girl Is Mine"
Raekwon comes through with some two-headed early birthday love for Michael Jackson on a clean flip of the classics "Got To Be There" and "The Girl Is Mine" for the latest installment of his stellar Throwback Thursday series. The Chef has been doing some superlative selecting over the past few months, adding grit to immaculately clean cuts from The Isley Brothers, The Gap Band, The Spinners and really, the whole trophy room of funk and soul's most prized luminaries. This week's two-fold offering finds the Shaolin disciple adding flame to some of MJ's most cherished recordings.
With Rae's long-awaited sixth studio album Fly International Luxurious Art (FILA) hitting shelves on September 16th, Wu-crew has plenty to look forward to.
