River Tiber Dips Into Cerebral R&B w/ New Solo Single "Acid Test"
Gotta give it to River Tiber, the kid simply never ceases to impress. Over the last few months we learned of a deep bond between Tiber and fellow Canadian beat conductor, Kaytranada, having been prominently featured on his debut album 99.9%, also releasing a grip of potent collaborations in the lead-up to Kaytra's close-up, including "Gravity" and the Pusha-T-assisted "Illusions."
Today, we learn just what Tiber is capable of all by his lonesome on the wickedly-cerebral new cut, aptly-named, "Acid Test," premiering just moments ago via Zane Lowe's Beats 1 program. Here Tiber flaunts his vocal chops on a bass-heavy and synth-swelled romp that just sucks you in, in the best possible way, of course. The track arrives as a precursor to his forthcoming Indigo project, slated to arrive this summer. And if Indigo bears any resemblance to we've heard from Tiber thus far, we'll all be singing his praised come summer's end.
