Sam Smith To Re-Release 'In The Lonely Hour' LP ft. Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston Covers
It's a great, great time to be a Sam Smith fan (but then, isn't that always the case?). The British soul-pop crooner announced Friday that he will be re-releasing his debut LP In The Lonely Hour as a special two-disc edition featuring a brand new song, "Drowning Shadows," a live recording of his megaton Disclosure collaboration "Latch" and two covers that make all the sense in the world: Amy Winehouse's "Love is a Losing Game" and Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know?
The news comes only days after the release of Smith's new James Bond theme, "Writing's On The Wall" and was delivered by him personally via over Twitter. "This is a present directly from me to my fans. This album, this journey has changed my life. So I have listened to all your wants and wishes," he wrote. What's more, "Drowning Shadows" has already been shared with the world via SoundCloud. Read his exuberant announcement and listen in below.
