Wasiu
24 year old emcee, Wasiu, has been making some noise since appearing on our radar a few months back. The Montreal-based emcee has been pairing his rhymes with top notch production to get his message across (that Kaytranada joint still being my favorite). This time around, Wasiu links with Soulection’s Da-P dabeatX for “Many Dreams.” Says Wasiu of the Tupac sampled joint: ""We all have dreams and aspirations… Some of them are altruistic in nature and others selfish and materialistic. This record focuses on the latter. With the overall theme of the album being a relatively dark and heavy depiction of our society, I wanted to include some lighter and fun moments. That being said, this song is simply about the material dreams of a broke rapper aspiring for more.” Check “Many Dreams,” below, and let’s hope that album isn’t too far away.
