Willow Smith adds yet another cosmic cut to her ever-broadening catalogue with the release for her latest left-field loosie "Rta" produced by Daniel D'Artiste. While I certainly have my suspicions as to who this D'Artiste guy is (ehem, Jaden,) the track plays out nicely with young Smith's falsetto working overtime on a track that matches her celestial r&b schemes to the tee. Neither heir nor heiress of Bel Air seem to have anything on the way in the form of a full-length piece, but Willow recently dropped the three-track piece Tesseract to hold you over. Don't dismiss the kids solely based on the far-reaching, even intergalactic inspiration they continue to draw from in their fully-developed melancholia. There's plenty of sonic goodness wrapped up in those schemes, as proven by co-signs from their major league counterparts SZA and Childish Gambino to only name a few. You have to at least be impressed by the confidence (in Willow's case) and willingness to experiment they each exude in every single track that makes it off their cutting room floor.
