Yasiin Bey and Ferrari Sheppard to Release Collaborative LP as Dec. 99th Next Month
Shoulda seen this one coming. Next month, Yasiin Bey will perform his final shows before retiring to a life of pure activism and artistic curation outside of the entertainment industry's musical and cinematic spheres. He'll perform consecutive nights at the Kennedy Center following a stint at The Apollo, each unique in their celebration of each respective phase of Bey's musical career, charting the progressions from Black On The Both Sides to The New Danger to True Magic to The Ecstatic.
Now he's announcing that a new, potentially final album will arrive on December 9th in the form of his long-teased collaboration with journalist and producer, Ferrari Sheppard, as Dec. 99th. The album will be a TIDAL-exclusive release, comprising the four of the five released singles, leaving off their very first release, "Hymn."
