50 Cent wants to make amends with Megan Thee Stallion. During a recent appearance on Real 92.3 radio show Big Boy’s Neighborhood, the BMF executive producer spoke about the aftermath of the Tory Lanez trial and his initial thoughts of Megan Thee Stallion lying. He also mentioned his reaction to Meg's 2021 interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, and posting memes of Jussie Smollett crying and Boyz in the Hood, both referencing the Traumazine artist.
“I’m gonna apologize to Megan Thee Stallion,” 50 said. “I said some things, and it was because on social media I posted things that—when she was with Gayle [King]—she said, ‘Were you intimate with Tory Lanez?’ And she said, ‘What?’ and it was like, ‘No.’ And I was like, ‘Ah, she lying.’ At that point I knew she was lying, it wouldn’t be no reason for them to be around each other. From that it felt like she was lying, to me.”
50, legal name Curtis Jackson, also said that after hearing the leaked jail call between Lanez and Meg's former best friend and assistant, Kelsey Harris, that he felt like he owed the three-time Grammy Award winner an apology.
“I should apologize to her, because when I heard the phone conversation that made me feel like, ‘Oh sh*t, ‘now I know what happened,” he continued. “I’m sure that was probably what swayed people in court, too.”
Lanez, legal name Daystar Peterson, was found guilty on December 23, by a Los Angeles jury on three felony counts. The Canadian artist is now seeking an appeal for a new trial, per Rolling Stone.
