A Random Man Challenged Mike Tyson to a Fight Then Pulled a Gun on Him
Mike Tyson safely escaped having a loaded gun pulled on him from a deranged fan while attending a comedy show in Hollywood.
Mike Tyson kept his composure when met with a crazed fan at a comedy show on Tuesday. According to TMZ, a man approached Tyson at Sunset Rooftop in Los Angeles while he was seated at a table with friends. Interrupting a comedian's set, the fan is heard speaking to Tyson, saying, “I’m trying to upgrade my status. All I need is you. All I need is you.”
The man then challenged Tyson to a fight, although the legendary boxer refused to engage. People in the crowd began telling the man to leave, but the fan pulled a loaded gun from his waist, less than fifteen feet away from Tyson. Some attendees ducked at the sight of the gun. Threatening to shoot to host, the fan decided not to fire his weapon, but instead approached Tyson's table again, asking him not to call the police. The man was embraced by Tyson with a hug and left without causing harm, and the LAPD said they weren't notified following the incident.
Escaping a brush with death, Tyson has bigger ventures to focus on it 2022. His cannabis brand Tyson 2.0 is launching a new line of edible ear-shaped gummies called Mike Bites, cheekily referencing his 1997 rematch with Evander Holyfield.
Tyson lost his WBA heavyweight title when he bit and removed a chunk his Holyfield's right ear in the third round, spitting it to the ground.
