Audio: Ab "Kissing You"
Fans of Black Milk, Slum Village, Foreign Exchange, and 14KT should be very familiar with Aaron "Ab" Abernathy from his featured vocal spots as well as his touring appearances with the aforementioned acts on the keys/background vocals. In a move that was long overdue, Ab is now showcasing his skills as a solo artist/producer. On July 11th, OKP will be presenting Prologue Vol. 1, the first EP in a two-part series of cover songs from Ab (followed by other full length projects in 2012). To start things off, we have Ab covering Total's track "Kissing You." The cover was produced and arranged by Ab (he's on vocals and keyboard as well) while Black Milk handles drums & moog (he mixed and engineered it as well). Other covers you can look forward to finding here next week on Prologue Vol. 1 are Shuggie Otis, Rufus & Chaka Khan, and Lauryn Hill.
