Alicia Keys, Chris Rock, Rihanna, Beyonce + More Speak Out Against Police Brutality In #23Ways PSA
If there's anything we can learn from the senseless killings we've bore witness to over the years, it's just how little a black man, woman or child can be doing when harassed by police. Philando Castile was merely sitting in his girlfriend's car during a routine traffic stop. Trayvon Martin was wearing a hoodie, Alton Sterling was selling CDs, Sandra Bland has a tail light out, Eric Garner was selling cigarettes. The list goes on and on and all we really learn is that an entire segment of our society might as well have a target on their backs when being confronted by any sort of law enforcement official.
In an effort to bring awareness to these mindless acts of terror and a broken system that does little to prohibit them, Alicia Keys has joined forces with the likes of Beyonce, Chance The Rapper, Chris Rock, Rihanna and so many more A-listers in an initiative spearheaded by her We Are Here movement with each artist contributing to the #23Ways PSA, naming each victim of police brutality and the glaringly normal behavior they were sought out for. Watch the clip below and share it with all the world. Every single person needs to see and know this.
