Alicia Keys Flips Kanye West's "Low Lights" on Powerful New Single "That's What's Up"
Even with her stunning and expansive new album HERE out in the world, Alicia Keys' campaign marches on. A few weeks back, Swizz Beatz, shared a freshly-reworked version of Kaytranada's "Hot Jazzybelle" into the candied and buoyant, "Sweet F'n Love."
Today, Keys strikes again with another dizzying flip, reshaping Kanye West's "Low Lights" into her own "That's What's Up," featuring a powerful vocal performance from the perennial hit-maker. Though the track isn't an official collaboration, it does get you thinking about the hypothetical fruits of such a high-powered link-up (and how it hasn't happened yet.) Now if Kanye could just free himself of this weird antithetical Trump complex, we'd really be on the right path. Sad to say, that doesn't appear to be playing out anytime soon.
Hold yourself over with Alicia Keys' "That's What's Up" down below. The new album HERE is out now and can be purchased via iTunes today. Catch her live and direct at a grip of forthcoming live shows, the dates for which are listed beneath the player.
