A$AP Rocky To Be Sued For Allegedly Shooting Former Friend A$AP Relli
In a new Rolling Stone investigative report, former A$AP Mob member A$AP Relli accused A$AP Rocky of shooting him last November.
A$AP Rocky will soon be facing a lawsuit from former A$AP Mob member and friend A$AP Relli. In a new Rolling Stone investigative report, Relli, whose real name is Terell Ephron, claims that Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, shot him in Los Angeles last November.
Ephron, who now plans to file a civil lawsuit against Mayers, claims that the "D.M.B." rapper lured him to a location in central Hollywood to discuss a disagreement between them when the incident occurred. Ephron's attorneys, Jamal Tooson and Brian Hurwitz, accuse Mayers of arriving to the location with a semi-automatic handgun when "a conversation ensued whereby without provocation, warning, or any justification, A$AP Rocky produced the handgun and intentionally fired multiple shots at Mr. Ephron.”
Ephron claims that during the November 6 incident, where he was allegedly shot at several times, minor injuries were inflicted onto his left hand before Mayers and his two assailants fled away on foot. The former A$AP Mob member, a talent manager and producer who was friends with Mayers in high school and allegedly introduced him to A$AP Yams, claims that the shooting was captured by surveillance cameras near the scene.
In April, Mayers arrived to LAX after vacationing in Barbados with girlfriend Rihanna when he was arrested at the airport by LAPD officials. After posting a $500,000 bond, the rapper was released from jail. The following month, Mayers son with Rihanna was born.
In a statement to Rolling Stone, Tooson and Hurwitz say that Ephron has received “multiple death threats and irreparable harm to his career in the entertainment industry as a result of this incident."
Mayers' next hearing in connection with the shooting will be held on August 17.
