BADBADNOTGOOD Return With A Cerebral & Soulful Groove
Though they haven't had much in the way of their own material in the last few months, BADBADNOTGOOD has been quietly working behind-the-scenes on some of the year's most compelling and anticipated projects. Recently they were joined onstage by Yasiin Bey while performing in South Africa, but have been spotted on-record with the likes of Kaytranada, Mick Jenkins, Snoh Aalegra and Little Simz, and those were all in the last three months alone.
Today, they resurface with their very own cut, "Speaking Gently," dipping back into the heady fusion we've heard them wield with the likes of Ghostface Killah on their collaborative Sour Soul, only with a touch of that eternal Motown glow. The track comes as a warm-up to the forthcoming IV LP, which is certainly one of the more anxiously-awaited pieces of the year. No date on that project just yet, but "Speaking Gently" should do more than hold you over until then. Stream the latest from BADBADNOTGOOD down below and hold tight for the next episode.
