Beyoncé Challenges The Notion Of Gender Equality
January 13, 2014
Beyoncé has penned an essay on gender equality for The Shriver Report. The feminist treatise published alongside pieces from Hillary Rodham-Clinton, Sheryl Sandberg and Kirsten Gillibrand finds Bey insisting that gender equality does not exist, despite the flowery title that often obscures the sexism and lower salaries endemic to the experience of womanhood. Bey goes on to suggest that the inequalities faced by women can be remedied. The task, however, is one that will require the unified efforts of men and women.
