DoSomething.org’s annual Celebs Gone Good list for 2017 recognizing celebrities who use their influence to raise awareness for social justice causes and to affect social change in the world.
Beyoncémade the top of 2016's list. This year, Chance The Rapper took the title, with a focus on charitable efforts in his hometown of Chicago. Chance raised more than $2 million for Chicago Public Schools, and co-founded SocialWorks, a foundation that helps and empowers youth.

Following is NFL player Colin Kaepernick, who contributed to the black liberation and anti-police brutality movement in 2016 by taking a knee in protest during the national anthem. He also donated $1 million to charitable organizations like Meals on Wheels.
This year’s list also includes Ava DuVernay,Rihanna,Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Zendaya, Yara Shahidi, and J. J. Watt.
