Big Sean shares the latest video from Detroit 2.
On Friday, Big Sean shared the video for "Deep Reverence," the latest single from Detroit 2. The track features a posthumous appearance from Nipsey Hussle. Stream the video below.
The video features cameos from friends and former Nipsey collaborators like Snoop Dogg, Dom Kennedy, Jay 305, and Hit-Boy, who produced the track. In a blue 1964 Chevrolet Impala, Snoop drives Sean around South Central Los Angeles, making stops at the Crete Academy basketball court memorializing Nipsey in his home neighborhood of Hyde Park.
"This [is] one of the most uncomfortable, honest songs I ever did," Sean wrote on Instagram. "I said things on here I thought I'd never say publicly, but realized that you gotta live and own all your truths, cause you can't always count on that opportunity to be there. To one of the realest, most solid humans ever made @nipseyhussle! Thank you bro! You still blessing all of us! It's deeper than 4Life it's 4ever!"
The video was directed by Sergio Maldonado, who previously directed a total of seven videos for Nipsey's Grammy-nominated Victory Lap album--"Double Up," "Hussle & Motivate," "Rap N-----," Last Time That I Checc'd" (along with Nipsey's brother Blacc Sam), "Status Symbol 3," Grinding All My Life," and the album's title track.
Detroit 2 debuted atop the US Billboard 200 with over 100,000 album-equivalent units sold in the first week. The album was his third to debut atop the charts and his seventh top-ten chart appearance overall.
