For all intents and purposes, 2015 belongs to Bilal. His reign over the year began in a very special appearance on one of the very last episodes of The Colbert Report, where he shared the stage with Kendrick Lamar, Anna Wise, Thundercat & Terrace Martin performing a powerful and freshly written piece for the late night audience. From there, he graced two back-to-back standouts on K Dot's To Pimp A Butterfly LP ("Institutionalized" & "These Walls") and then went on to launch us into the stratosphere with his new single "Satellites" off the recently announced and highly anticipated In Another Life LP, featuring production exclusively from the analog redeemer Adrian Younge.
And now, in the lead-up to that anxiously awaited record, OKP is proud to present Bilal's In Another Life world tour, which will jump off in his hometown of Philadelphia at World Cafe Live with the album release party and continue well into the month of July, landing on stages in NYC, New Orleans, Atlanta, Amsterdam, London, Dublin and Paris, with even more dates to be announced in the weeks ahead. So come one, come all to celebrate the Philly-bred vocal freak's new sonic digs with one of his high-octane, borderline spiritual, live sets.
