Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford Star In Brooding 'Blade Runner 2049' Trailer
Well before the internet hype-machine was grinding its gears, Blade Runner was screwing up the collective consciousness of sci-fi fans across the globe. For years, the prospect of a sequel to the film plagued nerds far and wide, but now it appears those nerds will finally have their day. Today, a trailer for Blade Runner 2049 hit the web with predictably brutal force, shedding light on the next phase of the replicant saga, where a new recruit (Ryan Gosling) unearths some sort of secret that threatens to take out what's left of the world, 30 years after the events of the original. And, of course, it's stunning. Harrison Ford makes an appearance at the tail-end confirming this to be a true extension of his iconic 1982 role in the original film.
Blade Runner 2049 is slated to arrive on October 6th, 2017, directed by Denis Villeneuveand produced by the Ridley Scott. The film will also star Jared Leto, Ana de Armas, Robin Wright and David Bautista amongst others.
