Detroit emcee Boldy James is recovering after “serious two-car accident” in his hometown this past Monday (January 9), according to his representative. Being rushed to the hospital in critical condition, Boldy, legal name James Clay Jones III, sustained orthopedic injuries and broken neck vertebrae. Undergoing “extensive surgery on his neck," Jones has since been released from the intensive care unit and is now in stable condition.

Also wishing Jones a quick recovery was fellow Detroit rhymesayer Eminem, and other artists including Bun B, Westside Gunn, Statik Selektah, Fly Anakin and Open Mike Eagle.
On Sunday (January 15), Jones posted a message on his Instagram.
“Your prayers are greatly appreciated thanks everyone for all your support the calls text messages I seen them all just keep me in your prayers on this journey as I continue to heal with my family. Thank you god," he wrote.
