Bryson Tiller Unleashes Somber Visual for "Right My Wrongs"
The singer also dropped a deluxe version of Trapsoul today which is the album's five-year anniversary.
Bryson Tiller has unleashed a visual for the somber cut “Right My Wrongs,” off his debut album Trapsoul.
The clip follows the release of two new singles from Tiller, “Inhale” and “Anything Forever.” In the video out today, the singer-songwriter is seen alongside a beau as he decides if he’ll be embarking on a trip.
What’s not lost in the visual is Tiller reminiscing on the past five years since he dropped Trapsoul. The video swiftly flashes through memories including sold-out concerts, studio sessions and run-ins with celebrities like Drake and Justin Bieber. Near the end of the video, his partner decides to not hop on a private jet.
Accompanying the release of the visual is the debut of a deluxe version of Trapsoul, a project he truly regards as his best work (today is also the five-year anniversary of the album). In a recent interview with Billboard, Tiller divulged that his 2017 album True To Self wasn’t a passion project. Despite that album securing him his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart he still felt it wasn’t reflective of him.
In the Billboard feature, he also shared, “At that time I didn't want to make an album. It was two years after Trapsoul came out and I was going through a lot of s--t -- like, legal stuff and personal stuff.” He added, “They can tell you this before and a lot of people don't know this, but before the album even came out, I didn't want it out. I was in the studio and I was upset. People were like, ‘Hey, I heard your album is done. I can't wait to hear it,’ and I was like, ‘Listen. Don't even bother.’”
Now three years removed from that mindset with lessons learned, Tiller is ready to show the world what he’s been cooking up. He expressed the forthcoming release has a “different energy” than True To Self. His talent for mixing his trap music and R&B has been evident over the past few years and we're glad he didn't completely go ghost. After all, he’s dropped singles with Summer Walker, H.E.R., and countless others. We're eagerly anticipating his next album.
