Chance The Rapper, Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment Dazzle In A Broadway-Caliber Clip For "Sunday Candy"
The last month has been a windstorm of fresh visuals from Chance The Rapper, who made his acting debut in the dark and edgy short film Mr. Happy and rode alongside the Prince of New York Action Bronson in the hilarious video for their soul-strutting collaboration "Baby Blue." Just weeks later, we have the clip for Donnie Trumpet& The Social Experiment's gospel-touched heartwarmer "Sunday Candy," which landed on us all the way back in December. The Chicago son and his equally fine-tuned ensemble of performers (including M&O's lovely Jamila Woods) dazzle in this Broadway-caliber clip, finding Chance and the whole crew putting on a wildly elaborate production, complete with shifting backdrops and all of the footwork you can bear. Like all things that don the Social Experiment tag, it embodies the success by committee approach the collective has championed since it's very first moments in the light on Chance's Acid Rap and Donnie's debut EP. There isn't much in the form of an update on their highly anticipated Surf LP, but this will certainly do. Watch Chance The Rapper, Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment in the video for "Sunday Candy" below and be sure to stay tuned, as it appears Surf could fall out of the sky any day now. Head over to their Soundcloud to keep up with the tide.
