Chaz Bundick Ditches Toro Y Moi Moniker For New Ambient Single As PLUM
Chaz Bundick, or the artist sometimes known as Toro Y Moi, has worn many hats since his 2010 debut, Causers Of This. He's dipped into house as Les Sins, dabbled in electronic experimentation as Sides Of Chaz, and now he's got another new groove, poised to bring you the atmospherics you didn't even know you needed as PLUM. Yesterday he revealed his debut single for a forthcoming ambient music record in "New Globe." Clocking in at nearly eight minutes long, the track is a sedative synth exploration soaked in soft, warm beds, inspired by composer Laraaji.
For now, it is Bundick's single offering as PLUM, but don't be surprised if there's even more to explore in the weeks and months ahead. You can hear "New Globe" down below and pick up a copy of it via Stones Throw's shop as a tape or CD. Gotta love those physical formats.
