CJ Fly of Pro Era Drops Debut Album 'RUDEBWOY' Featuring Joey Bada$$, Conway the Machine
Statik Selektah produced the entire project.
On Friday, Pro Era's CJ Fly released his debut album, RUDEBWOY. Statik Selektah produced the entirety of the 13-track effort. The album comes nearly four years after his second solo mixtape, FLYTRAP.
Fly contributed heavily to supergroup Beast Coast's Escape From New York album. Last April, he joined the crew to perform "Left Hand" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. On RUDEBWOY, The Brooklyn-born son of Jamaican and Bajan parents wants to blend the genres he grew up listening to.

"The goal is to bring back some Caribbean flavor to hip-hop," he said via press release. "I open up about the hardships myself and my immigrant parents experienced in this country, which led me to me becoming a rudebwoy."
"Throughout the album," he continued, "my father [gives] words of advice in a heavy Jamaican accent as I walk the listener through memory lane. This is my best work yet and only a taste of what's in store."
