Clipse Are Reuniting At Chicago's Hyde Park Summerfest
Legendary rap duo Clipse will perform at Chicago's Hyde Park Summerfest, with additional performers including 2 Chainz and Tobe Nwigwe.
The Clipse are reuniting again. Just six months after performing their 2002 hit "Grindin" live at the 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards, the duo consisting of Pusha T and No Malice will headline Chicago's Hyde Park Summerfest. With the music festival scheduled for June 17-18 at Midway Plaisance Park, also on the bill are Tobe Nwigwe, 2 Chainz, Robert Glasper, Uncle Waffles and more.
Along with their BET Hip-Hop Awards set, Clipse last performed together during the 2022 ComplexCon in Long Beach, California. During the conference and festival, the duo also held a "20 Years of Lord Willin'" conversation with former Star Trak artist FamLay, Pusha T's manager Steven Victor, and host Andrew Barber.
Together, Pusha T and No Malice have released four albums, ending with 2009's Til the Casket Drops, which the It's Almost Dry rapper considers their worst project.
While speaking with Complex in January, Pusha T referenced the Lord Willin' ComplexCon panel reiterated that while he wants a longterm Clipse reunion, No Malice has the final say.
“I’m not sure [it will happen], but I’m pressing it. I’m pressing it,” he said. “But I’m glad you were there and I’m glad that you saw it. Because a lot of people think that I don’t be pressing the issue. But I really do.”
Nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2023 Grammy Awards, It's Almost Dry lost to Kendrick Lamar's Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.
