D'Angelo & The Vanguard are back on the road in 2016, this time spreading their signature funk to the folks down under with a short set of dates in New Zealand and Australia through March 24th. The news follows D'Angelo's big win at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, where the band took home hardware for two of their three nods including Best R&B Album. News of a D'Angelo sighting is usually accompanied by a criminally brief clip of the man in action, his falsetto and Rhodes shining in spite of the impediments that come with video shot far afield of the stage. This time the fan footage features D closing out a March 17th show at the Festival of the Arts in New Zealand with what starts off as a solo piano performance of the Voodoo LP standout "Untitled" (How Does It Feel). Check out the video below to get a taste of what D'Angelo & The Vanguard are up to this month. Scroll down for D's Australian tour dates. Purchase all things Black Messiah at the OKP Shop.
