Danny Brown is the Next Rapper Getting Into the Podcast Game
On Tuesday, Detroit-bred rapper Danny Brown announced that his first podcast The Danny Brown Show will debut May 17th on YMH Studios.
Danny Brown is entering the podcast game. On Tuesday, the rapper went to social media to announce that his first-ever podcast, The Danny Brown Show, will launch May 17th on YMH Studios. Co-founded by comedians Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitzky, the podcast network is also home to shows Your Mom’s House, 2 Bears 1 Cave and Dr. Drew After Dark.
“Dropping on @ymhstudios May 17,” Brown captioned on Instagram, posting the announcement of his podcast. “get ready to get the jeans high and tight.” The rapper also shared the announcement on Twitter.
Last performing with special guest JPEGMAFIA at The Smoker's Club Festival at San Bernardino, California last week, Brown is no stranger to being a podcast guest. In the past, he's appeared on podcasts Rap Radar, The Church of What’s Happening, Kill Tony and more. In 2019, Brown also hosted his own VICELAND television series, Danny’s House, a comedy talk show where he interviewed the likes of A$AP Rocky, ScHoolboy Q, Jean Grae, Quelle Chris and Hannibal Buress.
Along with his podcast, Brown is also prepping his long-awaited album, Quaranta, which marks his final album on Warp Records. Last December, he discussed what listeners can expect from Quaranta with HipNewHipHop.
"It’s just all over the place. It’s a lot of people. You know I guess, The Alchemist is on there. I guess, that’s it. That’s cool. It ain’t no surprise, I feel like," Brown said.
