The Detroit rapper teased an interview he did for Highsnobiety's forthcoming 18th issue, serving as the third and final cover star (the other two were Lucien Clarke and James Lavelle) for the issue. The teaser shows an image of him alongside an introduction about Brown making his return to the "public eye" with a television show on Viceland and a new album produced by Q-Tip titled U Know What I'm Sayin?
Late Tuesday morning, music producer Thelonius Martin tweeted about the album being produced by the A Tribe Called Quest rapper and producer, with Brown then clarifying that Q-Tip is actually the album's executive producer.
In the Instagram post sharing his Highsnobiety cover story, Brown also clarified Tip's role as an executive producer for the album in response to a comment, as well as revealed that Paul White and JPEGMAFIA are providing production on the album. A release date for the album has yet to be confirmed.
Brown's last album was 2016's Atrocity Exhibition, which dropped on Warp/Fool's Gold. Highsnobiety is having a launch event for the 18th issue on Thursday, May 2 at China Chalet in New York City, which will include a performance from Brown. Fans can RSVP for the event here.
