Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, & a Remote Jim Carrey Hosted a Socially Distanced Comedy Show
Dave Chappelle hosted a socially distanced comedy show alongside Chris Rock.
It's been quite a summer for Dave Chappelle.
Despite the fact that we are all mostly still under COVID-19-related quarantine, the comedian has been able to stay busy. He has hosted a number of pop up shows and festivals in Yellow Springs, Ohio, where he lives. He even turned one of those events into a special, 8:46, which you can stream on YouTube.
Well, Chappelle is still at it. Apparently he had another special show. This one featured Chris Rock and Jim Carrey, who face-timed into the event. Apparently there was a heavy embargo on this and the only way this info came out was because Chris Rock Instagram'd the news, with a couple of photos from the event.
In the caption, Rock wrote:
"So I went to Ohio and did a COVID tested show with Dave and Jim Carrey on FaceTime .Crazy year indeed. Jim closed the show. It’s been a horrible year but this was definitely a bright spot."
According to Consequence of Sound, space was super limited. There were only 100 people in attendance and it was invite only. Also, strict social distancing rules were in place.
It's clear Chappelle has bigger plans for all this material he has been shooting. And we can't wait to see what it is.
