Dave Chappelle Donates $50,000 Toward The Flint Water Crisis
Dave Chappelle announced his $50,000 donation during a charity show in Flint, Michigan.
According to a report from TMZ, the donation will go to the Community Foundation of Greater Flint and will be used to help children who have been exposed to the lead water in Flint in the ongoing Flint Water Crisis. The donation comes from the money Chappelle made from his performance at The Whiting Auditorium on Wednesday night.

"I'm honored that you guys came here tonight," Chappelle said to the audience at The Whiting Auditorium the following night. "I want you to know that just by coming to see me you supported this city. I'm not taking a dime."
Another benefit event for the Flint Water Crisis occurred last year and was supposed to include a performance from Chappelle but he ultimately backed out. In his latest comedy special for Netflix, he revealed that he skipped out because he got a late invitation to attend the Oscars on the same night from Chris Rock, who hosted the award show.
