Last October, Dave Chappelle was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, joining comedic luminaries Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, George Carlin, and more, in accepting the honors.

Now, as PBS readies the full ceremony for a January 7th broadcast, clips from the star-studded affair are trickling in. There's fellow Comedy Central star, Jon Stewart, on raising the $50 million Chappelle notoriously left behind as his own, Aziz Ansari recounting the night Chappelle guilted him into taking mushrooms upon learning he'd been selected for the prestigious award, John Legend, on behalf of the state of Ohio, claiming Chappelle as a native midwesterner, and Tiffany Haddish on that one time Chappelle took her and a group of people to Eddie Murphy's house to bowl a few late-night rounds.
