The internet runs with just about anything you give it. Diddy learned that the hard way this past weekend while celebrating his 48th birthday.

Saturday afternoon, the Bad Boy founder took to his Instagram to announce that he'd changed his name yet again and would only respond to "Brother Love" from that point on. (I will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puff Daddy, or any of my other monikers.)

But just two days later, the dancer-turned-producer-turned mogul appears to have settled back into his professional life with the sobering reality that with a packed schedule of press stops ahead, people are going to need to know how they can address him. Last night, Diddy reemerged on the gram with a retraction, noting that he was "only playin.'"
So yes, you can go back to calling Diddy, Diddy (or Puff Daddy, Puffy and/or P Diddy, depending on how he's feeling that day.)
