Dillatronic: A New 40-Instrumental Tape Of Rare J Dilla Beats Is On The Way
What a blessed evening to be a J Dillafan. Fresh out the press, a new compilation tape of the gawd's presumably more electrified sonic constructions is on the way in the form of the 40-track instrumental album Dillatronic. The tape, which follows last year's expansive (even for the devout) The King Of Beats tape, will arrive October 30th via the incomparable Ma Dukes and Vintage Vibez Music Group as a 3xLP vinyl, CD and in special bundles with various assortments of tapes, tees, posters and more. And as if that wasn't enough to pique your donut-loving hearts, the announcement has coming bearing even more gifts. Below you will find a taste of what's to come in the creeping, synth-soaked "Dillatronic #7,"swung just a touch, but with all of the burly bottom and judo-chop snares that grant Dilla's drums holy grail-status.
Though the grip of you may, like myself, have all of what the internet's back-alleys offer in terms of unreleased tapes, demos and collections of Dilla's seemingly infinite catalog, I wouldn't sleep on this one, as I'm sure you realized KOB had 15-20 never-heards, even for your spoiled, well-researched self. So run, don't walk to your local computing device and preorder Dillatronic today ahead of the release. Hear "Dillatronic #7" below.
