Donald Glover could potentially star in an upcoming Disney+ show produced by Lucasfilm following his role in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
According to a Collider report, a podcast titled Kessel Run Transmissions alleges Glover will return to the role of Lando Calrissian for a forthcoming series. On the podcast which typically focuses on Star Wars content, Glover is alleged to reprise his Solo role, but details are sparse.
Glover has built the crux of his career on his music, yet in recent years, he’s leaned heavily into acting. His critically acclaimed FX series Atlanta has garnered a massive fanbase, fans are readily anticipating the next season of the show. Atlanta also stars Zazie Beetz (Joker), Bryan Tyree Henry (Widows) and Lakeith Stanfield (The Photograph).
Intercept reports the likeliness of Glover gearing up to be a part of a Disney+ show might be likely as another Solo star hinted that a follow-up was on the horizon. During a tour for his new project Brave New World,Alden Ehrenreich shared a sequel is in the works.
Despite the lack of clarity surrounding the news, rumors of a sequel are exciting. Glover never ceases to shock and awe with his public announcements. Over the past few months, he’s been a bit quiet, so perhaps this could be his next venture.
