Dreamville Festival 2020 Postponed Until August 29 Due to Pandemic Concerns
The festival drew 40,000 people last year.
Amidst growing concerns over the coronavirus pandemic, J. Cole's Dreamville Festival is the latest to reschedule. On Friday afternoon, organizers announced their plans to move the festival's date to August 29.
"We recognize there's been a lot of questions about the status of Dreamville Fest," they said in a statement. "In light of recent developments, we are excited to let you know we are moving forward with a new date."

Tickets went on sale on December 11, despite the festival not revealing any headliners. The inaugural event featured performances from 21 Savage, Big Sean, SZA, and others.
"While the state of North Carolina and local health officials continue to work to protect the well-being of all in the state, we have worked collaboratively to identify the best outcome."

Dreamville Fest joins Coachella in postponing festivities to a later date. South By Southwest has canceled all events outright. However, the organizers are offering registrants the chance to transfer their tickets to any of the next three festivals.
Organizers will honor all previously purchased tickets for the new date. The festival is offering refunds to buyers who can't make the later date.
"Originally, we were scheduled to announce the festival lineup this week," they said. "[We] are working around the clock to reconfirm all performers scheduled for the April date. We hope to announce the full music lineup as early as next week."
