Hear Phife Dawg's Smooth New Single "Wanna Dance" ft. Dwele [Premiere]
It's been nearly a year since hip-hop lost its comedic heart in the passing of Phife Dawg. A Tribe Called Quest's beloved five-foot assassin left this mortal coil in an outpouring of unwavering love and gratitude from every kingdom of rap royalty. Which is why we're elated to bring you "Wanna Dance"; the second release in Phife's posthumous catalog -- following the J Dilla-produced "Nutshell" -- featuring frequent collaborator, Dwele.
The new cut comes packaged as a pair of smooth and sensual two-step specimens, trading off leading roles one their respective versions. The collaboration also marks the first time in five years that Dwele and Phife have linked on-record, following 2012's equally seductive "What Profit" remix.
Each version of "Wanna Dance" will be included on Dwele's Same Book...New Chapter and Phife Dawg's upcoming full-length Forever respectively, both arriving via The Soul Brokerz.
