Earl Sweatshirt, Links with The Alchemist & Maxo for New Track "Whole World"

Earl Sweatshirt reunites with The Alchemist for his new track.

The ever-unpredictable Earl Sweatshirt has just released a new song. The track is called "Whole World" and it features an appearance from underground darling Maxo. The song was produced by The Alchemist, who last hooked up with Earl on "E. Coli," which was on Al's Bread EP. (Those songs sound drastically different, with "Whole World" being more of a slow burn, while "E. Coli" is cinematic.)

On the track Earl raps:

Catacombs, after the glow, the battle carry on

Get all that malice out your soul, the efficacy strong

I finish what I start, the funeral was hella long

I fell asleep, the effigy was short

My effervescence lost, but not entirely, I shrug the venom off

And kept a tiny piece for times we in the war

This is the first solo song from Earl since he released his excellent Feet of Clay EP in November 2019. This is the first time he's worked with Def Jam rapper Maxo, who impressed fans with his debut, 2019's Lil Big Man. (Don't confuse him with Houston rapper Maxo Kream, who is also nice.)

This is the second new verse Earl has dropped over the last couple of weeks. Back in March, he appeared on Drakeo the Ruler's "Ion Rap Beef" remix. Earl also smoked that track.

Check out "Whole World" below.
