Electric Wire Hustle Drop A Stunning Visual For "If These Are The Last Days"
Electric Wire Hustle let loose an entrancing set of visuals for their latest single "If These Are The Last Days"--premiering over at High Snobiety-- off their forthcoming sophomore record Love Can Prevail. The fellas find themselves contemplating the circularity of life in an opulent collage of intimate close-ups unfolding within some sort of botanical garden, where even the flowers themselves have a story to tell if you look close enough. The tropical eye-candy alternates--and eventually merges into--another narrative sequence following our heroes as they push a James Bond-style miracle-whip through a grey and rainy London backdrop. Arresting in their own right, the visuals make a revelatory pairing for the Marvin-Gaye-from-Mars future soul of this silky, introspective track, discovering whole universes of extraterrestrial territory within the details of a sunny (or rainy) afternoon.
You may recall that "If These Are The Last Days" dropped just last month in the form of an EP, featuring remixes from Eliphinoand Flako. EWH's full-length album Love Can Prevail -- the follow-up to 2009's heady self-titled debut -- drops September 8th on our very own Okayplayer Recordsin collaboration with Somethink Sounds, so keep your ears to the ground for more from our favorite kiwi funk scientists.
