Video: Elle Varner - "I Don't Care"

Elle Varner shows her breathier, sexier side (wait what was her other side like again? damn, I can't remember) on this new single "I Don't Care" but the video brings the song back to earth with a slightly grittier narrative, tackling interracial and same-sex relationships in exploring the theme. To wit: love, after all, is about committing, even if that means jumping in the deep end. That approach also provides a nice balance to the vid because the impact of the story saves Elle's beauty from being reduced to shampoo-ad glamor shots and her undeniable chemistry with her onscreen lover saves the more serious vignettes from coming across like an after-school special.
