Eminem's "Fall" Music Video Censors Out Homophobic Slur Aimed at Tyler, The Creator

The word “faggot” is removed from the video version of  Eminem's "Fall."

Eminem released a surprise album, Kamikaze, last week that includes disses to Joe Budden, Donald Trump, Machine Gun Kelly, and Tyler, the Creator.

In the song, Eminem raps, "Tyler create nothin', I see why you called yourself a faggot, bitch."

The song's music video, directed by James Larese, was released on Tuesday and the slur appears to have been removed.

READEminem Faces Backlash For Using Homophobic Slur Against Tyler, The Creator On New Album

Eminem's use of the slur lead to the song's featured artist Justin Vernon of Bon Iver to disown the song, calling the message "tired." He tweeted, "this is not the time to criticize Youth, it’s the time to listen. To act. It is certainly not the time for slurs. Wish they would have listened when we asked them to change it."

The line is believed to be a response to Tyler, who dissed Eminem's 2017 song"Walk on Water" last year tweeting, "dear god this song is horrible."

Prior to 2017, Tyler opened up about his admiration for Eminem, referring to his 2009 album Relapse as “one of the greatest albums.”

Eminem returned the compliment on his 2013 track “Wicked Ways," rapping “I’m a combination of Skylar Grey, Tyler the Creator, and Violent J.”
