Erykah Badu Shares Another Brilliant Mix feat. Thundercat, Sun Ra, Hiatus Kaiyote + More
Well before her You Caint Use My Phone mixtape hit the digital shelves and sent the world into a frenzy, Erykah Badu proved her mastery over the music mixing arts with a blend of current and classic r&b, deep funk and jazz.
That mix served as a necessary and proper compendium of Badu's vast and incredibly eclectic selection styles. Today, however, just a month and some change removed from the release of her comeback piece, Fat Belly Bella has graced us with yet another potent mix, dubbed BEATS BEES LIKE FOR B-BOYS AND B-GIRLS, and it's equally as impressive as its predecessor. The new joint contains everything from the cosmic jazz of Sun Ra to the avant soul of Hiatus Kaiyote, peppered with Thundercat, Das FX and plenty more, all stuffed into a neat 30-minute rhythmic romp that premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 program just before her album dropped.
Give Erykah Badu's latest mix a spin down below. If you somehow slept on the new tape, stream it on Spotify and cop it via iTunes today. To peer into the mind of the analog girl, jump back and check out her internet savvy session on The Questions.
